The client
HABLY is a proprietary brand for a social network that we developed entirely. The goal: a stable, secure product ready to ship on iOS and Android, along with an administration backoffice and the complementary web tools that sustain the ecosystem.
The challenge
Build from scratch a production-ready social network on iOS and Android, without crashes or data loss. It required solving simultaneously critical pieces common to any digital ecosystem with users: robust authentication (Apple, Google, recovery), careful onboarding, content with optimized media, reliable real-time messaging, notifications and a configurable incentive system. Add to that user-profile-differentiated flows with document validation, a complete administration backoffice, continuous integration, automated tests and security audit before publishing on TestFlight.
The solution
The app: the heart of the product
Mobile app in Flutter with clean architecture organized by feature and a single codebase for iOS and Android. Covers the full user journey: signup with Apple, Google and email; phased onboarding with preferences and suggestions; content creation in multiple formats (text, image, carousel and video) with a haptic interaction system and nested comments; ephemeral content with rich composition (music, drawing and effects); and real-time messaging over Socket.IO with typing indicator, read receipts and image sending.
Configurable incentive system
Incentive system with its own language: activity-based progression, levels and consistency metrics. Not punitive: metrics pause instead of resetting, with gradual decay after prolonged inactivity. Parameters configurable from the panel to tune the product economy without touching code.
Real-time backend and production quality
Backend in Node.js + Express with MongoDB: domain-based REST API, real-time messaging over Socket.IO with persistence before emission, token-based sessions, push via Firebase. Media pipeline that compresses images and generates optimized variants; server-side video composition with async queues. Security: sanitization, XSS, rate limiting and config validation at startup, with automated tests and CI.
Backoffice and complementary tools
Administration panel in Next.js with full control: users, approval of validated profiles, moderation, incentive system configuration, push sending and dashboard. Plus two complementary ecosystem web tools: an interactive community acquisition and qualification test (each interaction recorded as a lead) and an ephemeral-content-by-QR tool for on-site activations.
